Here I go on another Liza “Cabaret” inspired scarf. I was watching the “Mein Herr” video on my cell phone and thought “Hey, the hat looks like a black scarf knit on the bias with purple thin stripes!.” A picture of it:
In the scene she wears it tilted to her right side. The black hat with purple ribbon up close:
Have you seen people’s clothes and recognized a knitting pattern?
Tonight, I finished a feather and fan scarf with 14 stitches per row. I needed a break from long rows. At half past midnight I started this scarf with 8 stitches to make it skinny. Tomorrow I’ll finish it.
Update: This morning I finished it in an hour and a half. It’s so skinny I’m using it as a headband and let the ends lay in front of me. It looks like this:
Knit
Black with Thin Purple Diagonal Stripes Skinny Scarf Free Pattern:
With size 11 needles, cast on 6 stitches with black yarn. Begin knitting on bias:

- Repeat these 2 rows 5 times:
Row 1: knit through front and back loop, knit 5, knit 2 together, knit last stitch
Row 2: knit

With purple yarn:
Repeat these 2 rows 2 times
Row 1: knit through front and back loop, knit 5, knit 2 together, knit last stitch
Row 2: knit
Start all over with the black yarn, then with the purple yarn. Switch from black to purple for 50 times. Cast off.
