This morning I couldn’t find a light scarf to wear in this heat. All I saw in my yarn stash was novelty yarn and thick yarn. Luckily I saw this thin black and white ribbon yarn. I bought this back in January in a sale. No wonder I didn’t remember it.

Since this yarn is so thin, I knew it would take more than an hour to knit. Because I knit in front of the TV watching tennis or soccer, I saw Wimbledon. Today, my favorite player Novak Djokovic was playing against Bagdatis. Bagadatis and Djokovic are so likeable because they show lots of emotion after very point. Djokovic looked too tired but I’m glad he won the match!

Pattern Instructions: To finish this scarf in less than 2 hours, I knit it in bias and in stockinette stitch. When I finished it, it looked like a long headband. I cast on 9 stitches and knit with size 6.5 mm needles. If you want your headband to cover more of your hair, cast on about 22 stitches. Knit it, and put it on today !
Row 1: knit into the front and back loop of stitch, knit all stitches, when you reach last 3 stitches knit 2 together, knit last stitch.
Row 2: purl all stitches
That’s it.
I bought a bunch of these ribbon yarns at the sale at Unwind a few months ago. I’ll knit one and the colored yarn makes this a unique stripe scarf! Besides, I always rather wear a headband I made.
